1. To compare the expression level of 6 cytochrome P450s, CYP9J32, CYP9J27, CYP9M6, CYP6Z6, CYP6CB1 and CYP304C1 those were shown over expressed in PMD-R strain, among the PMD, PMD-R and susceptible strains to understand the specific role of the isoenzymes in DDT resistance and permethrin resistance.
2. To compare the sequences of each of those enzymes among the strains of the mosquitoes.
3. To clone, express and characterize the enzymatic properties of 6 cytochrome P450 genes, CYP9J32, CYP9J27, CYP9M6, CYP6Z6, CYP6CB1 and CYP304C1 those were shown over expressed in PMD-R strain. If there are not sequences differences across the 3 strains, only isoenzyme from PMD-R will be cloned and characterized.
