วัตถุประสงค์

The primary goal of this project is to characterize intestinal bacterial diversity of the black tiger shrimp (P. monodon) to provide a fundamental knowledge of bacterial diversity in intestine of this important animal. The obtained knowledge will ultimately lead to the development of prebiotics and probiotics to improve intestinal microbial balance as a preventive alternative in the shrimp farming practice.
Aim 1: To determine bacterial diversity in intestine of the black tiger shrimp
Aim 2: To determine bacterial community dynamics and its correlation to different growth stages or different grown conditions.
