The aim of this study is to investigate the behaviour of cardiac signals before developing itself to ventricular tachyarrhythmia especially VF. The cardiac signals such as ECG and HRV will be analysed for the parametric study of pre-ventricular tachyarrhythmias. The wavelet transform will be employed to extract the charaterising features. In addition, the characterising features will be determined from both temporal wavelet analysis and wavelet power spectral analysis. The expected results will be useful in diagnosis of cardiac arrhythmias in particular VF. An early hospitalization may reduce number of cardiac arrest victims. The results may be implemented on arrhythmia symptomatic devices. This is very useful for improving the anti-arrhythmia therapy.
