1 The research intends to focus on the issue of personal space and the ways in which it is represented in an architectural space especially within the context of domestic interiors. On the one hand, it focuses on the role of architectural space to shape and reshape the identities of its inhabitants. On the other hand, it focuses on the personalization of the dwelling space and the individualization of the immediate environment from the point of view of people who dwell in it.
2 Using low-cost apartments in Bangkok as a case study and a selected low-cost apartment for an in-depth survey, this inquiry into the depth of architectural studies on personal space and its representation and to be specific in a Thai cultural context. Addressing various examples of the planned estate environments both abroad and Thailand, the research includes a polemical issues and even controversial discussions on both public and private housing estates.
3 To understand the degrees to which a relationship between the shaping of the physical world and the ideological view of that world could be emphasized in the design process when it comes to the designing of domestic interior, especially when space is limited.
