วัตถุประสงค์
:
1. To determine the similarity of the Nepomorpha community between two isolated mountain ranges.
2. To determine the similarity of the Nepomorpha community within mesohabitat between two isolated mountain ranges.
3. To determine if the community, as measured by taxonomic richness, of Nepomorpha significantly differs between two isolated mountain ranges.
4. To determine if the community, as measured by taxonomic richness, of Nepomorpha significantly differs within mesohabitats between two isolated mountain ranges.
5. To determine the relationships between abiotic factors (e.g., pH, dissolved oxygen) and the Nepomorphan community between two isolated mountain ranges.
6. To characterize the Nepomorpha fauna of these mountain ranges
7. To discover new country records and new species; and to describe new species.
8. To provide museums and educational institutions in Thailand with a research collections, reference material, and a database for Thai aquatic insects.
