1. To develop the universal electrical cyclic testing system for ferroelectric materials (this testing unit can be also used for electro-active materials including ferroelectric, piezoelectric, photovoltaic, photostrictive, and electrochemical materials).
2. To understand the influence of temperature on fatigue behavior of PZT ceramics.
3. To investigate the effect of temperature on domain switching behavior under cyclic loading by using X-ray diffraction technique.
4. To develop a mathematical model (i.e. this model can be based on the viscoelasticity concept used by the applicant in previous work) to predict fatigue life time of PZT ceramics.
