Characterizations, Localization, and Possible applications of gonadrotropin-releasing hormone (GnRHs) for stimulating ovarian maturation and spawning in the Pacific white shrimp, Litopenaeus vannamei
1. To isolate, purify, and characterize the L. vannamei gonadotropin-releasing hormone (LvGnRH), by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and mass spectrometry (MS).
2. To immunolocalize and map LvGnRH in the neural and gonadal tissues
3. To investigate the effects of LvGnRH on ovarian maturation and spawning.
