Detection and differentiation of wild-type and vaccine strains of canine distemper using a multiplex reverse transcription-nested polymerase chain reaction
1. To develop the multiplex reverse transcription-nested polymerase chain reaction (RT-nPCR) method to effectively detect and differentiate wild-type CDV from vaccine strain in infected dogs and zoo animals.
2. To apply this method for the advantage in clinical diagnosis and epidemiological monitoring in all CDV susceptible species.
3. To investigate the genetic diversity of current circulating CDV strains in Thailand comparing with the previous reports in GenBank by phylogenetic analysis
