1. To obtain basic information by investigating the genetic structure in diverse Northeastern Thai populations.
2. To determine whether the pattern of genetic structure and variation of the studied populations in Northeast Thailand were shaped by geographic and/or linguistic, or by systematic factors.
3. To elucidate biological affinity between Northeastern Thai populations and other compared populations in Southeast Asia.
