วัตถุประสงค์
:
2.1 To produce ultrafine-grained alloys with high-strength and lightweight properties by different severe plastic deformation techniques: ECAP and HPT.
2.2 To characterize the fine-scale complex microstructure of alloys at each stage of
processing to gain an understanding of the processing/microstructure relationship and the microstructural evolution to provide a platform to control the microstructure that affects to mechanical behaviours.
2.3 To measure the mechanical properties of the alloys produced and to develop an
understanding of these properties in terms of the alloy microstructure/process combinations in order to apply to high-strength and lightweight armoured equipments in the future.
