Two travel time models will be developed in this study: one model can be used for closed toll system expressways and the other can be used for open toll system expressways or when toll ticket data are not available. The objectives are listed below:
" To develop a travel time prediction model using a combination of three traffic data sources, namely, GPS-equipped vehicles, toll ticket transactions, and image processing cameras. The first model can be used to predict travel time on the closed toll system expressway where toll ticket data are available.
" To develop a travel time prediction model using a combination of two traffic data sources, namely, GPS-equipped vehicles and image processing cameras. The second model can be used to predict travel time on the open toll system expressway where toll ticket data are not available.
