วัตถุประสงค์
:
The aims of this study are to evaluate the mechanisms of antidiabetic activity of umbelliferone (UMB) in HFD/STZ-induced type 2 diabetic rats in both in vivo and ex vivo models:
The specific objectives are;
1) To examine the antihyperglycemic effect of UMB in HFD/STZ-induced type 2 diabetic rats.
2) To examine the antidiabetic mechanisms of UMB in isolated adipocytes of HFD/STZ-induced type 2 diabetic rats.
3) To examine the effect of UMB on adipokine secretion in HFD/STZ-induced type 2 diabetic rats.
4) To examine the antihyperlipidemic effect of UMB in HFD/STZ-induced type 2 diabetic rats.
