วัตถุประสงค์
:
2.1 To quantify the effect of vertebrate and invertebrate seed predators on seed removal and germination in a degraded area of Mae Rim, Northern Thailand (related to question 1)
2.2 To quantify the effect of vertebrates and invertebrates on young germinants and early seedling survival and growth in a degraded area of Mae Rim, Northern Thailand (related to question 2)
2.3 To investigate what seed and seedling predators are active and what is their potential for attacking seeds (related to question 3 and 4)
2.4 To investigate and a temporal change of diversity of seed and seedling predators in a degraded area (related to question 4)
2.5 To determine the extent to which different predators target different stages of seed-to-seedling transition (related to question 1, 2, and 3)
2.6 To compare growth and survival of seedlings grown by direct seeding and those prepared in a tree nursery (related to question 5)
