The goal of this research is to determine if the using of plastic packages with metal film of frozen foods significantly improve the microwave thawing process. The following are the specific objectives of this study.
1. Test the dielectric and thermal properties of metal film deposited on package.
2. Develop a mathematical model that can predict the temperature profile of frozen food with package contain metal film during microwave thawing process.
3. Determine the optimum parameters of metal film from the point of view of the maximum microwave energy absorption in the package.
4. Determine if the using of packages with metal film of frozen foods significantly improve the microwave thawing process.
