2.1) To preliminarily evaluate cesium-containing lepidocrocite titanate of several compositions in the conversion of ethanol and propanaldehyde into value-added liquid C5+ oxygenates, and to seek for optimized catalytic conditions.
2.2) To compare catalytic activities of selected lepidocrocite titanate microcrystals vs the respective reassembled nanosheets, in comparison to some benchmark catalysts (i.e., MgO, TiO2, and calcined layered double hydroxide) or the thermal reaction without any catalyst.
2.3) To seek the correlation between physicochemical properties of the prepared materials and the catalytic activity in the yield and selectivity of the liquid C5+ oxygenates from ethanol and propanaldehyde.
