วัตถุประสงค์
:
The overall objective of this study is to enhance oil recovery from refinery waste in order to use as alternative fuel. The main component of microemulsion-based solution will be formulated from biodegradability surfactant. The specific objectives of this study are:
1) To determine phase behavior and interfacial tension of microemulsion-based washing solution containing a surfactant, a co-surfactant, a linker, an electrolyte, and crude vegetable oil
2) To study the effects and ratio of each component (surfactant/co-surfactant and additives), extraction time, solid to liquid ratio, and agitation speed on the maximize residual oil recovery
3) To formulate the optimum reverse micelle microemulsion containing residual oil/diesel blend, ethanol, surfactant, and cosurfactant
4) To investigate the feasibly uses as alternative fuels; biodiesel and microemulsion-based biofuel of residual oil in term of fuel production and properties
5) To evaluate the environmental impacts regarding to GHGs, water, and energy reduction through life cycle of microemulsification technology
