The first part will focus on poly(acrylonitrile-co-vinyl imidazole-co-styrene sulfonic acid) (PAN-co-PVIm-co-PSSA) with various terpolymer compositions.
The objectives are as follows.
1. To synthesize and characterize PAN-co-PVIm-co-PSSA with various terpolymer compositions
2. To study the effect of terpolymer composition on water uptake thermal, mechanical and oxidative stabilities, and proton conductivity. The second part will emphasize on poly(acrylonitrile-co-vinyl tetrazole-co-styrene sulfonic acid) (PAN-co-PVTz-co-PSSA) with various tetrazole contents.
The objectives are as follows.
1. To synthesize and characterize PAN-co-PVTz-co-PSSA with various tetrazole contents.
2. To study the effect of tetrazole content on water uptake, thermal, mechanical and oxidative stabilities, and proton conductivity.
