First, CrLIP4 gene expression pattern will be monitored along with the cellular TAG concentration under various growth conditions. Second, Growth and TAG phenotype of lip4 mutants generated through insertional mutagenesis will be analyzed. Finally, CrLIP4 genomic DNA complementation will be carried out in the lip4 mutants. The transformants will be tested their growth and lipid phenotype.
