วัตถุประสงค์
:
The main objectives of this study is to investigate the impact of local regulation of vitamin D metabolism in skeletal muscle and the non-calcemic function of vitamin D3 on skeletal muscle stem cell activity at the distinct stages of skeletal muscle growth. To achieve the main objective, the specific objectives are listed as follow:
1. Investigation of the local regulation of vitamin D metabolism related proteins in skeletal muscle during development, maturation, and aging.
2. Investigation of the non-calcemic function of vitamin D3 on skeletal muscle stem cell isolated from developmental, mature, and aged muscles.
