วัตถุประสงค์

The objective of this study is to obtain basic knowledge on Stomoxyine flies status in southern Thailand.
-To determine the species composition and diurnal activity of stable fly.
-To define the correlation between numbers of stable fly in each collection and environmental conditions (temperature and humidity).
-To evaluated insecticide susceptibility of field Stomoxyine flies to pyrethroids or recommended operational dose or concentration of insecticides which they have been using for pest control in agricultural sector.
Such knowledge will help to have a better understanding and to support the rationale for ongoing fly control activities in dairy farms, southern Thailand. This will alleviate and minimize the economic losses that may occur from fly infestation in dairy barn/animal farms from both private and government sectors.
