2.1 To investigate the reaction mechanisms of the transfer hydrogenation of furfural with 2-alcohol (i.e. 2-propanol and 2-butanol) as hydrogen donor over 2D and 3D zeolites by using quantum chemical approaches.
2.2 To compare the catalytic performance of 2D and 3D zeolites on the furfural transfer hydrogenation.
2.3 To investigate the effect of metals-substituted 2D zeolites on the furfural transfer hydrogenation.
2.4 To compare the catalytic performance of the furfural transfer hydrogenation on various 2D zeolites.
