1) To synthesize gold nanoparticles with different generations of HKRK peptides e.g. HKRK, HKRK-G0 and HKRK-G1 and to fabricate NSPNs using fatty acid cores.
2) To explore the post-synthetic tailoring of the particles, stabilizing the NPSC shell through covalent crosslinking using hydrophobic dithiol, lateral stabilization of the nanoparticle shell using transferrin.
3) To determine the efficacy of NPSCs for drug delivery in MCF-7 cell and to publish this in international papers.
