" To provide opportunity for 10 young researchers, female and male to undertake research work to develop their in depth understanding about the socio-cultural and political changes that are taking place in the Muslim communities in Thailand and in Asia region and understand their struggle to come to grasp modernity, globalization, gender and other relevant issues.
" To develop resource and knowledge base for Muslim social workers, community leaders and philanthropic organizations and institutions.
" To develop a network among young intellectuals in Asia and promote mutual exchanges, support and cooperation towards positive changes in the Muslim communities, and tolerance towards other religions.
" To bring out publication of research findings and distribute them to promote understanding and cooperative actions.
" To build capacity among young scholars in quality research work
