1. What is the impact to the liquidity in the Thai stock market and cost of trading to Thai investors? The Singaporean, Malaysian, and Thai exchanges have recently signed an agreement to create an integrated trading platform allowing investors in member countries to trade cross-border with ease. What remains unknown is whether there will be a spill-over of liquidity or increased correlated movements in liquidity that for example, Chordia et al. (2000) have documented within the US equity market. 2. What may be the impact to the volatility in the market? 3. What is the benefit to the portfolio of Thai investors by allowing free cross-border capital investments?
