Influence of Type and Level of Oil, Filler, Polypropylene, Natural Rubber and Vulcanization System On Properties of Thermoplastic Elastomer Based on Natural Rubber and Polypropylene Blends
1. To investigate a new type of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) by blending of polypropylene with the unmodified or modified natural rubber (ENR and MNR) under various reaction conditions using two types of blend compatibilizers; graft copolymer of polypropylene with maleic anhydride (PP-g-MA) and phenolic modified polypropylene (Ph-PP).
2. To prepare the TPNR by a simple blend technique. The TEO or TPO will be the products of this technique.
3. To prepare various types TPV based on NR/PP blends via dynamic vulcanization process.
4. To study influence of types and concentrations of oils, plasticizers, fillers and polypropylene on properties of TPO and TPV based on NR/PP blends.
5. To investigate influence of vulcanization systems based on mixed vulcanization system between sulphur and peroxide and phenolic curing systems.
6. To study mechanical, physical and chemical properties as well as processability of the TPO and TPV.
