วัตถุประสงค์
:
The main objective of the project is to establish transgenic parasite lines with the glmS ribozyme integrated at several candidate drug target genes. Drug targets will be validated if ribozyme-mediated attenuation of target gene expression leads to a loss of function mutant phenotype. Furthermore, these parasite lines will be used to ascertain anti-malarial mode of action, manifested as compound hyper-sensitivity in gene-attenuated parasites.
