Development of tubular ceramic membranes for dehydration of ethanol solution and its application in esterification process of fermentation-derived succinic acid
1 To develop reproducible composite ceramic membranes exhibiting high water flux and high separation factor.
2 To investigate the effect of operating conditions on dehydration performance using vapor permeation technique, and compare the results with commercially available ceramic membranes.
3 To apply the resulting membranes for esterification reaction of succinic acid and ethanol using sulfuric as the catalyst.
