The main objective of this project is to develop a novel SVPWM scheme back-to-back 3L-NPC converter for DFIG drive applications. The following research will be conducted:
2.1 To develop a novel SVPWM switching patterns suitable for the back-to-back 3L-NPC VSC,
2.2 To develop, analyze and implement the control strategy that meets of the DFIG using the back-to-back 3L-NPC VSC for wind turbine applications,
2.3 To develop the stator active, reactive power and power factor control schemes of the rotor-side converter and grid-side converter for the DFIG drive system,
