Roles of protein kinase C substrate 80K-H [Homo sapiens] (PRKCSH) in modulating cancer cell behaviours, apoptosis and autophagy: A potential synthetic lethal gene for p53
1. To investigate the effect of glucosidase II knockdown (either by PRKCSH specific siRNA or selective inhibitor of glucosidase II) on cell growth behaviours of non-small cell lung carcinoma cells (NSCLC) differing in the p53 status (wild-type, mutant) and immortalized human bronchial epithelial cells
2. To investigate the effect of glucosidase II knockdown (either by PRKCSH specific siRNA or selective inhibitor of glucosidase II) on the response to apoptotic and autophagic induction of non-small cell lung carcinoma cells (NSCLC) differing in the p53 status (wild-type, mutant) and immortalized human bronchial epithelial cells
3. To investigate the sensitivity of glucosidase II knockdown NSCLC cells differing in the p53 status to chemotherapeutic agents-induced apoptotic and autophagy cell death
