1. To study gauge/gravity correspondence within half-maximal gauged supergravities in 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 dimensions and to identify possible higher dimensional origins within string/M-theory.
2. To apply the results in extracting useful consequences in the dual field theories and give some interpretations of the results in terms of brane configurations in string/M-theory
