We focus on the electrical characterization of biological cells using the microfluidic technology. On the practical viewpoint, the objectives of the research are as follows:
(1) Develop a simple, easy-to-fabricate microfluidic chip to measure electrical characteristics of biological cells in a high-throughput continuous process without any adverse effect on the measured cells.
(2) Clarify the feasibility of cell encapsulation in droplets for improving the electrical characterization
(3) Determine adjustable electromechanical methods for manipulating cells based on their different characteristics.
