วัตถุประสงค์
:
2.1 To obtain cDNA and deduced protein sequences of beta-expansin found in pollen of common grass species in Thailand, and to assess their diversity by constructing a phylogenetic tree against available sequences in GenBank
2.2 To determine relative RNA expression level of beta-expansin in pollen of common grass species in Thailand
2.3 To clone beta-expansin from grass pollen that has high sequence similarity to beta-expansin from allergenic species, and to express the protein for purification in E. coli
2.4 To determine immunoreactivity and cross reactivity of beta-expansin from both pollen extract and E. coli heterologous expression, against sera of patients previously diagnosed to be allergic to Bermuda grass pollen
