1) To develop new knowledge on low-power low-noise circuit topologies and signal processing algorithms to improve state of the arts in the design of an analog front end (AFE) for wearable cardiac monitoring devicesthe knowledge will be useful for other low-power sensor interfaces as well.
2) To develop a high-performance, fully-functional AFE chip for use in a wearable cardiac monitoring system that will be developed in the future.
3) To help develop the human resources for Thailands electronic design industryresearch assistants involved in the project will gain valuable experiences on the entire process of IC design from designing, doing layout, prototyping, testing of fabricated chips, and theoretically analyzing complicated circuits.
