วัตถุประสงค์
:
The main objective of this study is to identify the genetic mutation associated with Progressive Retinal Atrophy in Shih Tzu. Thus, there are three sub-objectives
Objective 1: Clinical data collection, phenotype confirmation and DNA banking from related and unrelated affected Shih Tzu
Objective 2: Sequence whole genome of Shih Tzu and analyze sequence data in the identified disease associated genes for evidence of non-synonymous trait-associated mutations/ variants
Objective 3: Evaluate presence of mutations in a wider population of Shih Tzu
