1. Exploring, identifying, describing and naming the poorly studied hyphomycete genera Acrodictys, Dictyocheirospora, Dictyosporium, Digitodesmium, Kirschsteiniothelia, Monodictys, and Moromyces.
2. Provision of morphological illustration and taxonomy of hyphomycetes and to isolate strains for conservation in the culture collections of MFLU and other.
3. Emphasis on their major morphological characters, molecular study of selected taxa in order to establish their phylogeny, which will result in relatively high impact publications. This will apply in particular to new taxa.
4. Contribution of knowledge of hyphomycetes occurring from different habitats in the tropics.
